How to Troubleshoot Netgear Wifi Extender to increase the range of Wifi


Netgear wifi extender setup is the widely used method to increase the range and coverage of wifi. It provides the user to remove the blindspot and the dead zones..there are generally two methods to set up wifi extender first is manually and second, is by following Wps setup

Troubleshooting Steps to Increase the range of Wi-fi Network:
  •  Connect your wifi range extender to the power outlet
  • Open any web browser in your system
  • In the address bar of web browser enter http://mywifiext.net
  • The login page will display on the screen now choose any username and password for setup
  • Click on login then go to setup after that go to the wireless setting
  • In  the security, options do check that the value in the password matches the router password 
  • Click Apply and connect your wifi devices with the extender

To connect your Netgear wifi extender setup by WPS ( wifi protected setup)
  • Push the factory setting button which is located in the side panel for at least 7 second
  • Open your mobile or computer wifi menu and connect it with extender default wifi extender which is Netgear_Ext
  • Enter http://mywifiext.net in your web address
  • The login page will display then enter your username and password
  • Click to login and wait for few second
  • Follow the prompt to allow your extender  to connect to your home network
  • Incase The  router uses WEP security please enter it’s network name and password
  • Now you can connect your wifi devices to the extender
